Dear Ms. Gallop,
Recently, my mom sent me the link to MakeLoveNotPorn.com and your Savage Lovecast episode with Dan Savage. I thought it was just going to be something about not having sex because it leads to pregnancy and things like that. Once I started to listen to the podcast, I still didn’t think it was going to be as groundbreaking as it ended up being.
I’m 16 and I’ve never had a proper relationship, let alone any form of sex with another person but I think that your talk with Dan really brought things in perspective. I thought that all guys would demand I shaved down there, even for my first time, but I was happily surprised when you said that some guys like it left alone! I thought I had a pretty good idea of what sex was and what the expectations were but you really changed that.
Other than that, I really just wanted to say thank you.
Thank you for doing what you’re doing and informing everyone about what really happens. I think that, because of you and Dan, I am more knowledgeable about the social taboos that are sex and porn. I can’t express in words how much this has done and will do for me. I really hope that you succeed in changing the world because this is really something that everyone needs to know.
